Reece Domingue

Reece Domingue is a graduate student at UNT with an extensive dance background.  A valedictorian graduate of Denton High School, Reece served as Lieutenant then as Captain of her drill team her senior year. In high school and beyond, she earned many awards for solos, duets, turns, and choreography at regional competitions and twice competed at YAGP. She is a graduate of Denton Ballet Academy, where she received classical Vaganova ballet training and received many invitations to summer intensives and training programs, such as the Bolshoi Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Kirov, and Tulsa Ballet School. She previously served as Director of the North Texas Emeralds performance team and currently dances with Festival Ballet of North Central Texas; this is her 15th year with the company and has danced many featured roles in their annual production of The Nutcracker including Clara, Dolls, Lead Chinese, Snow, Icicle, Flower, Petal, and most recently, Lead Spanish.

Reece's greatest passion in life is connecting with her students and creating meaningful and personal choreography that highlights each student's personality and talent. Moving past a student/teacher relationship, Reece has become a true mentor and role model for all of her students.  She has been choreographing successful competition pieces for the past 6 years. Her pieces have also won specialty awards for choreography and concepts. For years she has coached dancers and has taught various styles of dance. In 2022, she founded Studio D Dance Company, which offers weekly training, in addition to choreography, for competitive dancers. We are a small but vibrant studio that is making a home in our community with local benefit performances and a growing company of dancers.
